Steep Slope Mowing Services in Pittsburgh, PA, Ohio & West Virginia

Let's Get Started!

Safe. Specialized. Reliable.

Steep terrain shouldn’t stop your property from looking professional—or staying compliant. At Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL), we provide expert slope mowing services for commercial, industrial, and utility clients from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Ohio and West Virginia. With over 35,000 acres of complex terrain successfully maintained, we know how to handle the steep stuff, safely, efficiently, and without cutting corners.

Whether you're managing a sloped embankment at a solar farm, a stormwater basin next to a highway, or a vegetated slope around an industrial site, we bring the equipment, team, and communication needed to get the job done right, the first time.

As the largest privately owned landscaping company in our market, we offer something the big, corporate-backed firms can’t: local ownership, direct accountability, and no corporate BS. You’ll work with real people who respond quickly, show up ready, and treat your land, and your time, with respect.

Safety Compliant With

Specialized Steep Slope Mowing

for Industrial & Commercial Properties

Steep slopes aren’t just hard to manage—they’re a liability when handled by the wrong crew. Most landscape companies simply aren’t equipped or trained to maintain high-angle grades safely. At Growing Seasons Landscaping, we’ve built an entire slope mowing division that’s purpose-built for this kind of terrain—with the equipment, expertise, and team structure to do it right.

We maintain steep, hazardous terrain across:

  • Utility Rights-of-Way
  • Stormwater Management Zones
  • Retention & Detention Ponds
  • Highway Embankments
  • Oil & Gas Sites
  • Solar Farms
  • Commercial & Industrial Slopes

Our team understands the environmental regulations, site access limitations, and safety protocols required in these settings—so your project gets done on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all local and state regulations.

What Clients Are Saying

About Our Steep Slope Mowing Work

Reliability is a coveted trait among commercial landscaping companies, and we are happy to know that our clients feel comfortable handing over their landscaping, industrial, and environmental work to us. Learn what clients are saying about our services and our hardworking team.

We Use the Right Equipment for the Job

Every Time

What sets us apart isn’t just experience—it’s the fleet of specialized equipment we bring to the job:

  • Ventrac Mowers – Built to handle steep slopes and soft or uneven ground
  • Remote-Controlled Slope Mowers – Ideal for inaccessible or high-risk embankments
  • Man Mowers – For precision cutting in tight or sensitive locations

Whether you're maintaining a highly visible slope in a corporate park, managing the safety of a roadside embankment, or clearing long stretches of utility right-of-way (ROW) through uneven terrain, our team brings the right machine for the job and we only use operators who are properly licensed and experienced in using these machines.

We don’t cut corners when we cut your grass, we use the right equipment. That means you don’t have to worry about service delays, safety incidents, or damage to your land. We show up with the tools, the crew, and the plan to deliver slope mowing services that are efficient, professional, and built around your specific needs.
