The Industrial Division at Growing Seasons Landscaping is uniquely equipped to support utility-based and industrial clients in the Greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area. Leveraging our expertise, we recruit experienced professionals, often from the oil and gas industry, to tackle specialized projects that go beyond traditional landscaping. Our services include maintaining gravel roads, providing hydroseeding and erosion control, completing site reclamation projects, and addressing other unique challenges faced by industrial sites. With a deep understanding of local environmental and DEP regulations, we ensure that industrial sites remain compliant while maintaining their functionality and safety year-round.

Location: Canonsburg, PA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Nights, Weekends and Holidays as needed

Position Overview

Join Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) as a Class A CDL Driver supporting projects across the oil & gas, environmental, industrial, and commercial landscaping sectors. You’ll haul equipment and materials safely between job sites and perform a variety of tasks to keep operations running smoothly. This is a year-round position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate various Class A trucks, trailers, and equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials securely.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and GSL safety standards.

The Dirt Foreman is a field leadership role responsible for overseeing excavation, grading, and full site preparation operations. This position bridges project management and field execution, ensuring all earthmoving activities meet precise engineering specifications, production targets, and safety standards.

 

Core Responsibilities

Crew Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and train crews of 4–6 team members, including heavy equipment operators and laborers
  • Set daily expectations, monitor performance, and maintain productivity and accountability

Site Operations & Execution

  • Oversee excavation, trenching, soil compaction, and grading activities
  • Ensure GPS systems are properly set up, calibrated, and fully functional
  • Confirm work is completed to grade and within project specifications

Plan & Grade Interpretation

  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, elevations, and grade stakes
  • Translate engineering plans into accurate field execution

Equipment Management

  • Operate and supervise heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, skid loaders, haul trucks, and other required equipment

Position Overview

Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) is seeking Forestry Technicians to support invasive species removal, reforestation, and general land restoration projects. This is a hands-on outdoor role ideal for those who enjoy physical work, conservation, and contributing to projects that make a real impact.

You’ll work on a safety-focused, supportive team that values hard work, reliability, and respect.

 

Travel & Schedule Requirements

This is a high-travel field position. Forestry Technicians spend most of the year on the road supporting long-term ecological restoration projects.

  • Travel 80–90% of the time (PA, OH, WV)
  • Frequent multi-day and multi-week assignments
  • Company-provided lodging + daily per diem for all overnight travel
  • 10–12-hour workdays while traveling
  • Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation to the reporting location required (GSL vehicles used for work travel)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Remove invasive plant species; assist with mapping and documentation
  • Apply and record herbicide treatments following environmental guidelines

Growing Seasons Landscaping, LLC, seeks a General Laborer (multiple openings) to be based out of Canonsburg, PA, with job sites in PA counties (Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Butler, Beaver, Fayette, and Westmoreland) and WV counties (Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Monongalia, and Marion). Responsible for working independently or as a part of a team in providing various hands-on services, including but not limited to: (i) performing reclaim services (including installing erosion control products, large scale seeding, straw blowing and slope matting); (ii) providing landscape services (including mulching, pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs, mowing grass, weeding flower beds, seeding, and planting); (iii) plowing and shoveling snow; (iv) responding to natural disasters and environmental cleanups; (v) cleaning 200-250 gallon mobile stock tanks used in natural disaster and environmental remediation; and (vi) attending and participating in paid safety training.

Must be able and willing to: lift up to 80 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs; stand, bend, squat, reach, lift, carry, push and pull for extended periods of time; work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions, as necessary; work overtime, nights and weekends, as required; wear personal protective equipment; and handle pesticides, herbicides, paint, and solvents. Post-hire and random employer-paid drug screenings required.

Travel required to worksites within PA counties (PA counties (Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Butler, Beaver, Fayette, and Westmoreland) and WV counties (Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel, Monongalia, and Marion). Employer provides transportation to/from worksites, as necessary.

Position Overview

Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Well Services Division. This role requires hands-on experience operating excavators, skid steers, and dozers in oil & gas or heavy civil environments.

You’ll support pad construction, access roads, site restoration, and well site operations. Candidates must be safety-focused, reliable, and able to maintain grade accurately on active job sites.

 

This is not an entry-level role — finish grade experience is required.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Operate excavators, skid steers, and dozers for:
    • Pad construction and maintenance
    • Trenching and backfilling
    • Roadway and access improvements
    • Site restoration and grading
  • Perform finish grading and maintain precise elevations based on plans and field direction
  • Work on active and reclaimed well sites following strict safety protocols
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, greasing, and basic maintenance
  • Communicate with foremen and crew to execute daily work plans
  • Assist ground crew as needed to keep production moving
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant jobsite at all times

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years operating excavators, skid steers, and dozers
  • Proven ability to hold grade and perform finish work (not just rough grading)
  • Experience in oil & gas, utilities, heavy civil, or industrial construction
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety and hazard awareness
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica, etc.)

Safety & OSHA Requirements

  • Follow all OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1926 – Construction Standards) and company safety policies
  • Participate in daily safety meetings (tailgate/toolbox talks)
  • Maintain awareness of underground utilities, trench safety, and equipment hazards
  • Proper use of PPE at all times (hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, gloves, eye protection)
